Asian species refers to mainly 3 species; Malaysian Kauri, Kwila and Teak. We are actively seeking certified products from this region and will not buy unless we can be assured as to the status of the product being offered.

Australian
|
|
Australia produces some of the finest hardwoods in the world, mainly Eucalypt species. Such timbers as Jarrah, Tasmanian Oak, Spotted Gum, Sydney Blue Gum, and Blackbutt to name a few. We stock a good range of Australian species. Most of the Australian hardwoods and PEFC (AFS) certified.

|
European hardwoods are widely recognised due to their beauty and established name. Timbers such as European Oak and Beech. We stock both these timbers and they are both available FSC Certified.

Exotic NZ

Exotic New Zealand Timbers are any timber species that are native to another country, but have been introduced to and are now grown in New Zealand. Radiata and Macrocarpa are both exotics that are widely used in New Zealand.

Native NZ
|
|
Native New Zealand timbers are only those species that are indigenous to New Zealand. Certain timber such as Rimu and Matai are prized for furniture and flooring timbers.

North American
|
|
North American Timbers are very popular, and are very well known. The likes of Oaks, Cedars are among the most well-known timbers around the globe.

South American
|
|
Species from the continent of South America are widely traded in other parts of the world, but we have been cautious in trying to find certified products. We do stock a small range of South American product.

South Pacific
|
|
South Pacific timbers, those from the Pacific Islands, have been widely used in NZ. We stock those that we can get from "known" sources and where quality and source have proven to be of a trustworthy nature.
